How Can I Stop Having Sex Outside Of Marriage?

There are many pitfalls that lead us away from a healthy emotional and physical lifestyle, but perhaps fornication is the one that most often trips up Christian singles. What does the Bible have to say about this activity? The Bible shares with us about fleeing fornication. Every sin that a person may practice dating sites commits is a sin against their body. The creator of our bodies provides a word in his instruction manual that intercourse outside of marriage is actually a harm to his and her bodies.
Allow me to share why I believe God says this. It would be the equivalent of serving a false god. When we engage in sex outside of marriage, we are signaling to the deepest part of our souls that this is a bond that God has created for us. If marriage doesn’t happen, and this premise is Christian singles dating, we are lying to our hearts. What happens after we repeatedly tell ourselves lies, we begin to believe our own lies, and our thoughts. Yet I suggest that our emotions know the difference, not established by God, with more than one person to bond with.
One of the consequences of this behavior is the inner feelings of doubt and guilt. Believe that when you feel these at work, you can know you are in Satan’s neighborhood. They are definitely his calling card. There is another voice that is heard that is the voice of the Holy Spirit. His voice is not one of condemnation, but of conviction.
You join the ranks of many of us who have had to fight this behavior as single people. Let me share what I have learned to stop this unwanted behavior. I believe the first step is to create accountability, which is a strong word and action that we don’t want to hear from Aussie singles, but I don’t believe anyone can stop this behavior without it. Who should you be accountable to? First, both of you should pray and ask God to guide you as to who will best serve you both.
You may be directed to a pastor or an older Christian couple. You may find that it works for you to hold each of you accountable to your accountability partner. A person who speaks in tongues might listen to me and say that I’m not actually speaking in tongues. I don’t know, and it really matters to me, what matters is what my spirit feels God is teaching me in this experience. The lesson is that God has many children and they are not all the same. His children worship Him in different ways, and He’s telling me that it’s not up to me to decide who’s worshipping and who’s not.
